Texas OnCourse partners with Roadtrip Nation to give TX students the opportunity to interview individuals in leading professions across the state. Road trippers get to talk to their heroes, job crushes, and more. Students' adventures are then made into a series, intended to inspire TX students!
Currently, you can find all sorts of assets on the Roadtrip Nation website.
Career planning for students is a joint effort of the home, school, and community to provide all students from prekindergarten through high school with opportunities for the following:
- learn about their interests, abilities, and aspirations
- become aware of and appreciate a range of careers
- develop decision-making, job-seeking, and job-keeping skills.
One great resource for career planning for students is Roadtrip Nation. Career assessment tests and planning can seem boring, but not with this resource! Their interactive and SHORT career assessment test directs you to video interviews of people at the top of their game in all different careers. Learn what it is really like to run a hotel, animate for feature films and video games, or travel for a living.
Oh and by the way, the interviews are done by normal students, perhaps just like you. Explore the interview archives by interests, by themes or by people, and don’t be surprised if you get sucked in for a while.
