For Middle School Educators
TXOC is developing activities and lesson plans for middle school teachers, in alignment with the state’s career and technical education requirements. They include:
- Career exploration game: Middle Galaxy, developed in partnership with MIT’s media lab, is a fun way for middle schoolers to learn about career paths, whether at school, home or on their phones.
- Graduation planning tool: Map My Grad enables students to assess their own skills and interests and use that knowledge to plan their path to high school graduation and beyond.
- Lesson plans and curriculum guide: Lesson plans promote deeper student engagement in career exploration and planning, aligned with TEKS for College and Career Readiness and Investigating Careers.
Do the TXOC resources sound like a great fit for your school? We are seeking schools and districts to join us as middle school partners.
