Four new modules launched: SAT, ACT, TASFA, PGP
As of today, August 31, you can access four new training modules on the Texas OnCourse website. Register or log in to engage with content on Personal Graduation Plans, the SAT and ACT and the TASFA.
We now have a total of seven training modules, including CommonApp, ApplyTexas and FAFSA.
Using simple, to-the-point language, infographics and brief quizzes, our modules ensure that educators have all of the essential knowledge necessary to guide students through these important milestones.
Personal Graduation Plan
In this module, you’ll learn what a Personal Graduation Plan is, what the Foundation High School Program requirements are, and how to help students pick the appropriate endorsement for their area(s) of interest. We’ll also cover what a program of study is, as well as what certification and licensure opportunities are available.
In this module, you’ll learn how students can register for the SAT exam, how to interpret SAT scores, and what fee waiver and accommodation options are available to students. We’ll also cover how to help students prepare and study for the SAT exam and what information to share with students and family in preparation for college entrance exams.
In this module, you’ll learn how students can register for the ACT, how to interpret their scores, and what fee waiver and accommodation options are. You’ll also learn how to help students prepare and study for the ACT and what information to share with students and families in preparation for college entrance exams.
In this module, you’ll learn how to identify student eligibility for completing a TASFA, techniques for assisting students and families preparing to fill out a TASFA, and what is required when completing a TASFA. We’ll also explore what types of documentation is acceptable during the TASFA verification process and what the key components are in planning a successful TASFA workshop.
