Sandra Spicher
Editor
Sandra reviews printed and online materials for Texas OnCourse, focusing on keeping them correct and consistent while expressing diverse voices. She also loves to talk writing and editing. Sandra earned a master of fine arts in writing from the University of Texas at Austin's Michener Center for Writers and went on to complete an editorial fellowship at University of Texas Press. She’s been writing and editing professionally since 2003, so her nose can usually be found in a book – often one she’s editing or indexing. A dog person and one-and-done Ironman, Sandra would give the Sorting Hat trouble deciding between Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw.

Zackery Stover
Art Director
Zack creates and oversees all visual materials at Texas OnCourse, ensuring cohesiveness across platforms. He led the 2018 rebrand that gave the organization its new logo and coincided with a website refresh. With a background in brand identity and social justice – having dedicated much of his career to fighting for marriage equality, prison reform, and environmental causes – he identifies art directions that achieve more inclusiveness and broaden visual messages. His portfolio includes work for such clients as Amnesty International, the United Nations, and Obama’s early grassroots efforts. Zack enjoys a quiet life in the Hill Country with his partner and three rescue dogs. He stands firmly by Gerald Early’s pronouncement that “there are only three things that America will be remembered for 2,000 years from now when they study this civilization: The Constitution, jazz music, and baseball. They’re the three most beautifully designed things this culture has ever produced.”
